An eNote from Rodney

Dear Trinity Congregation,

Can Christmas swing? You bet it can. The Asheville Jazz Orchestra will be here in a few hours to play another set of Stan Kenton’s arrangements of Christmas hymns in big band jazz style. The concert starts at 7 and is free. As we have been doing for a while, a collection will be taken for the Bless the School fund that goes to Hall Fletcher Elementary, Vance Elementary and Asheville Middle schools. See you there and we will not be charging for parking tonight.

Last Sunday during worship I mentioned that the medical and dental clinics that are operated by ABCCM for the poor have very low user fees. Thanks to one of our members who volunteers there for pointing out to me that there are no user fees for the clients of the facilities; the low fees I mentioned are borne by the supporters of the medical clinic.

Our metered parking lots are now in operation. Please see Lee Thomas after worship on Sunday to get your window sticker so that you may park in any of our lots at any time.

I received a very nice email from Sharon Blythe this week. She wanted me to thank you for the reception you gave to her and Michelle when they did their presentation for Room in the Inn last Sunday during the Sunday School Hour. Thank you for coming to the presentation. Sharon will help us in any way to get Trinity involved with her ministry.

This Sunday, which will be the last Sunday before Christmas we will talk about Mary. The scripture lesson, if you would like to look it over, is Luke 1:26-38. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday and also tonight.

Sincerely,
Rodney
