Christ Carrying the Cross

An Enote from Nancy

Friday, March 30, 2018

A holy Good Friday to you, dear Church Family.

It was a privilege to share in Maundy Thursday worship, communion, and anointing with you last night.

Shane Claiborne, whose story I told about he and his friend, Cassim, writes, “Most good things have been said far too many times and just need to be lived.”  That’s so true for this week, with all the sights and sounds of Jesus’ story. I’m grateful to live through life with you, praying with you for all the crosses you, your family, and our world are carrying.

I hope many of you are able to experience the Good Friday Tenebrae service with fellow UMCs tonight here at Trinity, 6 PM.

Remember the Sunrise Service begins at 7:15AM at the Harrison Residence, 1 Glen Falls Rd, Asheville 28804 . The Egg Hunt & Flowering of the Cross begins at 10AM, and our Easter Resurrection Celebration begins at 10:55AM, with your help redecorating the altar and worship space!

If there is anyone willing to take some photographs of the activities Sunday morning to use on our website and publications, we would be grateful! Please let any staff person know if you are willing to do this.

With the love and peace that passes all our human understanding, especially on this most holy day ~

Nancy†
