An eNote from Rodney

Dear Trinity Church Family,

Greetings from North Topsail Beach. Cheryl and I and three children, two spouses and three granddaughters are having a very good week and the weather has been beautiful. We have had clear skies and highs of 84 degrees. I spend an hour reading each morning at a local Surf City coffee shop I enjoy and this year they added to the menu an excellent apple fritter. That sentence implies that I have had several of them. Days are spent on the beach reading a mystery novel and watching Marine Corps helicopters and Osprey planes from Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune fly by.

I went to a lovely little Methodist Church last Sunday morning, Faith Harbour United Methodist in Surf City, NC. The church is 15 years old and in the summer they do an 8 o’clock Sunday morning service on the beach. I went to their 9:20 am service in their new building and it was very nice.

This Sunday our service will be conducted by Jennie Lynn Krichbaum and the preacher will be The Reverend Ed Hillman. Ed oversees the ministry programs at Givens Estate. I hope Trinity has a wonderful Sunday together. I will be back in the office on Tuesday and I am looking forward to it.

Sincerely,

Rodney
