Children experience God’s word through Sunday School, Children’s Church, Children’s Music Program, Plays/Musicals, Camp Connect, movie nights, and more.
Sunday School classes are provided for ages 3 – 5th grade every Sunday at 9:45.
Children age 3 through 3rd Grade are invited to attend Children’s Church during Sunday morning worship which meets in the Chapel on the third floor. Children sit with their parents for the beginning of the service and are shepherded to the chapel after the Children’s Moment by a staff member or volunteer. Children are dismissed from the Children/Youth Assembly Room on the second floor or the play room on the first floor.
Children ages 5 and up are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-6:45 for our Children’s Music (and drama) Program. We gather together to sing, act, and play as we learn about different ways to worship God.
The Children’s Ministry at Trinity is blessed with beautiful facilities: with several rooms, including our child-exclusive chapel, and our spacious and engaging playground area.
UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)
Our Youth group is comprised of young people from Confirmation (around 6th Grade) through High School. We meet almost every Sunday night for regular UMYF to learn, grow, laugh, play, act, sing, eat, and worship. Throughout the year we have trips, mission opportunities, community outreach, game/movie nights, and fellowship meals. Check the Events page for upcoming UMYF activities.
Child Care & Safe Sanctuaries
Trinity UMC is dedicated to providing safe and enriching activities for Children of all ages. Nursery care is provided during Sunday School and Worship as well as during most special events. The nursery is located on the main (second) floor and is for all children 2 and under. All of our nursery staff and volunteers are trained to follow our Safe Sanctuaries policy.
Volunteering with Children and Youth
The Children and Youth departments cannot function without help from our congregation. To help teach Sunday School or chaperone UMYF visit the TUMC Children/Youth Google Drive. There you can also view the calendar and other seasonal information (e.g. Fall Festival volunteer opportunities).
