Where did you grow up and how long have you been in Asheville?
I grew up in Mississippi and been in Asheville since the first of 1991.
What kind of work do you do?
I have retired three times, and still work as needed. I am a Cytotechnologist and worked at this job since February of 1960. During this time I worked in Meridian, Ms for 3 years; Hattiesburg , Ms for 28 years and the remainder here at a private lab. Still love working on a limited basis.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I have Volunteered at Vance Elementary, Hall Fletcher Elementary in the Library and working with Residents at Brooke Howell in chair exercise and minor sewing jobs.
Love walking, hiking and spending time with two spoiled lovable pups.
How long have you been a member at Trinity, and what do you like best about it?
I have been a member of Trinity since 1991. I love the diversity at Trinity and especially what and how we serve others. In Mission, Red Wagon Sunday and how willing everyone is to bring gifts to donate to local organization. Feeding the people in Pritchard Park on the first Sunday of the month. Utilizing our youths talents and gifts in worship and most of all the warmth of our members ( our church Family).
What is something interesting about yourself that others might no know?
A few years ago I walked 15 miles in less than 4 hours at a program called Take the Lake., this was at Lake Waccamaw NC. Flat land I might add..
