An eNote from Rodney

Dear Trinity Church Family,

The mission team is home from the Dominican Republic and the early reports are that they had a good and rewarding time. I know that we will be hearing more from them later.

This Sunday will be our Bluegrass and Barbeque Sunday. The Trinity Strings will play several songs and we will sing some older gospel songs as a congregation. After worship we will have barbeque for lunch. Between worship and lunch we will need your help in making the transition. We will need to pull the chairs to the side, roll out and set up the tables and then get the chairs to the tables. We have done this once before and it went well.

I want to let you know that I am taking a summer class in New Testament at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville. The class meets for two hours on Thursday afternoons. I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two weeks and the faculty, staff and students there have been delightful to this Methodist visitor.

We are about to enter the next phase with the elevator construction. Asheville Elevator should be at our site by the middle of next week and begin to construct the elevator in the shaft that has been prepared.

Thanks to everyone who came to the All American Jazz concert last Friday. It looks like the collection is going to be around $910.00. That is a great collection and we will share it between The Asheville Jazz Council and the ministry conducted with homeless veterans by Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministries.

I’m looking forward to seeing you for worship on Sunday Morning.

Sincerely,

Rodney
