Sisters and Brothers,

We are less than 8 hours away from Trinity’s 3rd Annual Halloween Organ Concert featuring our very own Nolan Anthony! A couple members of the choir will help host a post-concert reception. I am SO excited and hope you will be able to join us at 7PM.

Sunday is full of activity, with our children and youth assisting in different parts of worship (did you know its Reformation Sunday and the 500th Anniversary year of Martin Luther’s 95 theses?). Remember to turn in pledge cards to the small wooden church boxes on the altar rail as well as spiritual gifts surveys (thank you to those who have already done so). Youth group at 5PM and an easy-going small group listening session with the pastors at 5:30PM (your presence does make a difference) round out the weekend. And we’re setting up the stage after worship as well (to prepare for next Sunday’s special musical group – Fletcher Academy Strings!).

For those less inclined to be a part of the “stage crew,” a wonderful invitation has come from our sister congregation at Berry Temple UMC. They invite us to join them and a couple other area churches for a 5th Sunday lunch right after our worship services, 34 College Place, Asheville 28801. No need to bring a thing – just come!

Our grounding text for Sunday worship is Jesus giving the greatest commandment, Matthew 22:34-46 (MGS translation).
