Rodney’s Weekly Enote

An eNote from Rodney

Dear Trinity Church Family,

The State of North Carolina elevator inspector was at Trinity yesterday (no, Cherie Berry was not here). The elevator company had several thousand pounds of weight that they placed in the elevator to test it and it went up and down just fine. The next step is finish work and going through a punch list and then…I can barely say it, we have an elevator. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you also for all the school supplies you donated. On top of the collection you may have seen in the fellowship hall, the Mary Mann class spent an additional 400 dollars on school supplies. Thank you all for your generosity. We will let you know soon what items we will be collecting for September.

This Sunday I am going to begin a sermon series on the life and thinking of the Apostle Paul. He is such an important figure in our faith. I am excited to be renewing my own understanding of Paul’s life and teaching.

The church office will be closed on Monday in honor of Labor day. As we say goodbye to summer I know that a lot of you are travelling over the weekend. Be careful, have a good time and we look forward to your return. For those of us here we will celebrate communion on Sunday during worship. I look forward to seeing you then.

Sincerely,
Rodney
