An eNote from Nancy

A blessed Friday to you, Church Family.

This Sunday we’ll be diving into the a word that happens 8 times in the Gospel reading – ABIDE.

Our readings are:

1 John 4:7-21

Psalm 22   and

John 15:1-8

Before worship, starting around 9:45AM (Faith Class, you’ll need to come a little earlier…and there will be coffee & snacks!!!) we will gather with Janet Taylor who volunteers to lead an art program at the Haywood Street Congregation. Come ready to ABIDE and explore how the Holy Spirit reaches out to us, the vine, through art. This will be an intergenerational gathering – all classes are welcome to attend (and we hope you will)!

Speaking of the vine, we have a new member! Levi Matthias Dayson was born yesterday (4/26/18) to the Revs. Jessica and Darryl Dayson and big brother Malachi. All are doing well, with Levi weighing in at 9lbs, 3 oz!  Isn’t he a cutie?!?

Folks, I am so grateful to be growing on the vine with you. We’ve missed a number of you over the last few weeks and hope we get a chance to connect this Sunday. Your weekly presence makes the vine stronger, the roots deeper, and the fruit of the Spirit’s labor more gracious and holy…because we all choose to be “set apart” (another definition of “holy”) together as often as we can.
