Hey, Church Family, I hope all is well and that you have been enjoying these few days of sunshine we’ve gotten after the monsoons of previous weeks. We’ve finished up our “Summer with Samuel” series last week and now we are set to dive into the Gospel lectionary texts.
First up will be John 6:51-58, and we’ll be pondering, “What do magic and cannibalism have to do with hospitality?” Also shaping our service will be Paul’s letter to the Ephesians 5:15-20 and Psalm 111 which is a poem of praise and thanksgiving. I invite you to pray and meditate over these scriptures as we enter our worship service together.
I would like to remind you that this Sunday we will be taking up our collection for Red Wagon.
For the month of August, we will collect school supplies for Hall Fletcher Elementary School. Needed supplies:

Finally, we are kicking off the fall with dinner and activities Wednesday, August 29th to set our lives and church at a pace of grace. As we wind down the summer and jump into the new year, people of all ages are invited to come share a meal and some fun as we think about incorporating Sabbath – pray and play – into our daily and weekly rhythms. We’ll gather between 5 & 5:30 and wrap up around 7 PM. Please make reservation for this free dinner by Aug 22 to the church office.
