The Eve of All Hallows Eve
Dear Trinity Church Family,
First! Don’t forget to turn your clock back one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed.
And then you will be rested for Sunday morning and you can come to The Methodist Men’s Warm Morning Breakfast. The breakfast will start at 8:00 am and go to 9:30 am. It will be a full breakfast served buffet style and the cost is by donation. The funds raised by the United Methodist Men from this breakfast go into their “Warm Morning Fuel Fund”. The men use this fund to help area folks who need help paying their heating bills during the winter. See you there.
Tonight, out organist Anthony Nolan will perform music for us in a Halloween Concert. Nolan will perform music from Bach, The Phantom of the Opera, Leon Boellmann and Louis Vierne. The concert is at 7:00 pm this evening, October 30th. I have been listening to Nolan rehearse in the afternoons and this is going to be fun. It is grand classical music but it all has a fun spooky quality to it. Children are especially invited and there will be treat bags for them. After Nolan’s concert I know several folks who will be boppin up to the Isis to hear Katherine Brickey and her band play from Katherine’s new cd.
This Sunday is the third installment of our sermon series “Five Practices of A Fruitful Congregation” We will look at Intentional Faith Development and talk about enriching our faith by developing Christian habits. It will also be All Saints Day where we remember the gifts of those who have gone before us. It is a rich Sunday and I am looking forward to seeing you at the Methodist Men’s breakfast and then worship.
And I hope to see you tonight for a little music.
Don’t forget to turn back your clock.
Sincerely,
Rodney
