An eNote from Rodney
Dear Trinity Congregation,
On Sunday we will begin Holy Week. It starts with the celebration of Palm Sunday and quickly descends into a week of confrontation and eventual execution for Jesus. From the outside it looks like one more Jewish messiah has met his match. However, in Jesus is both the full humanity of us and the full divinity of God, which allows the end of the week to turn out a bit differently than it has for other Jewish messiahs. As you have heard me say, what makes Christianity so compelling is that God, who loves His creation and made it good, suffers the loss of part of himself to reconcile His creation with Himself.
If you would like to be a part of one of the Last Supper Seder meals, there is space available for each evening. The meal is what Jesus would have celebrated with his disciples on the night of the Last Supper. This is a fun and learning event prepared and hosted by the youth and it is supper. The cost is 10 dollars per person. Call Lee at the office if you would like to reserve a space. 828-253-5471 ext.101.
