Friday April 3, 2015 Good Friday An eNote from Rodney Dear Trinity Church Family, First I want to thank Andrew and the youth and Bryce Parham and Lee Thomas for making the Tenebrae service such a lovely experience last night. Today is Good Friday. I walked out of Bruggers this morning just as the sky was starting to lighten up and birds were singing and a stock broker guy I know was talking about the market being closed today. Good Friday is a day that crackles with expectation. It is a somber day; between 6 and 9 this morning we can remember that Jesus will be interrogated, flogged and executed. We also know how it ends. As you go about today my invitation to you is to spend 5 minutes thinking about what God’s son is willing to do to heal over any separation that exist between us and his Father. It is a remarkable thing to ponder. The story will be very different on Sunday morning. At 7:20 we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on the front yard of Tom and Mary Jo Harrison’s home at One Glen Falls Road. That is on the north end of Beaver Lake on North Merrimon. The church bus will leave Trinity at 7:00am. At 10:15 the children will have an Easter Egg hunt on the lawn of the church. At 11:00 we will worship in the fellowship hall.
